Mayford Athletic Football Club is run by volunteers – some who take on a higher level of commitment through official club roles such as Club Chair, Secretary, Treasurer or Club Welfare Officer but the vast majority support us on a regular basis for a smaller number of hours.

There are a wide range of tasks that need to happen for the club to run smoothly and some examples are running the clubhouse cafe; supporting the team coaches during training; tidying up the storage units; painting walls in the Clubhouse; organising social and club events – whatever support people can offer is welcomed.

We have a number of activities/roles where the club needs to find volunteers to:

• undertake clubhouse work activities on Thursday evenings in October and November 2019
• support planning and delivery of the MAFC 2020 tournament

A number of volunteers are also needed immediately for specific roles:

• Pitch Maintenance – from liaising with Serco to monitoring pitch conditions and looking at additional local pitches and facilities as needed, this role is needed throughout the year
• Club Equipment and Shop Support – administering the kit and equipment needed by all teams, coaches and players, co-ordinating/supporting procurement, promotion and sales
• Grants, Funding and CSR – specialist needed to support additional funding routes for the club
• Social and Events – someone to develop and organise social engagement across the club
• Schools Liaison / Girls Football Development – ongoing player recruitment and community engagement activities
• Players’ Council and Young Leaders – support and supervision for senior age groups’ development activities
• MAFC Handbook – project manager needed for completion of the club’s operating procedures and ‘how to’ guides. Handbook needed by January 2020

Each role can be taken on by one person or a group of people who are happy to work together.
